Delivers GIS mapping and remote sensing projects for MapCraft GIS clients.
MapCraft GIS trains hydrologists, foresters and geographers to turn satellite imagery and terrain models into answers that hold up in the field — SAR flood maps, groundwater models, watershed delineations, built the way they're actually built on real projects.
MapCraft GIS is run by Nitesh, an IIRS-ISRO alumnus (Post Graduate Diploma in Remote Sensing & GIS, Water Resources specialization) and a hands-on RS & GIS practitioner. He works with the same tools he teaches: SAR flood inundation mapping, groundwater modeling, watershed delineation and hydraulic simulation.
Every course grows out of real project work. A lecture is built only after the workflow has been run end-to-end on an actual dataset, from a HEC-RAS dam-break study on the Beas River to Sentinel-1 flood mapping over Punjab. That "learn it, build it, then teach it" discipline shapes every MapCraft syllabus.
A small team of trained RS & GIS professionals who build, test and deliver geospatial work on real projects.
Every MapCraft program is built from a workflow that was first run end-to-end on a real dataset. Pick your track — or take both, in order.
Remote sensing, QGIS, SAR and GEE, then Python, ML and deep learning for satellite data. Three tracks to choose from.
DEMs and SAR to a calibrated HEC-HMS model and a 2D HEC-RAS flood map, on real Indian flood events.
Map ecosystem services and model your watershed — built for M.Sc / M.Tech thesis and research.
From fundamentals to advanced applications — crop monitoring, classification, stress assessment, yield estimation and precision farming.
ModelMuse and Visual MODFLOW — from conceptual model to a calibrated groundwater simulation.
Map ecosystem services. Model your watershed.
For M.Sc / M.Tech thesis & research — Environment, Geography, Civil, Agriculture & Forestry.
A complete run from theory foundation to advanced GIS and microwave/SAR remote sensing — now extended with a full GeoAI track: Python for GIS, machine learning and deep learning for satellite imagery. Past cohorts have delivered SAR flood mapping and NDWI water-extraction work.
For beginners who want strong RS/GIS skills
RS + GIS + AI/ML, from zero to advanced
For those who already know RS/GIS basics
One course, the complete flood-modelling workflow — from satellite images and DEMs to a calibrated hydrologic model, a 2D hydraulic flood map and a professional report. Everything is taught from scratch and practised on real Indian flood events.
Day 1 is the first class of the batch. If a class falls on a public holiday, it moves to the next working day. Sunday off.
Beas reach, Pong Dam to Harike: HMS + RAS 2D, validated with Sentinel-1 SAR.
Dam-break inundation and flood arrival-time mapping with Froehlich breach parameters.
Trapezoidal channel, bridge, culvert, broad-crested and gated weirs: one model per structure.
HEC-HMS rainfall-runoff model driven by GPM IMERG rainfall.
AHP-based susceptibility map, validated against the SAR flood extent.
Early-bird fee ₹4,449 ₹6,999 for the first 8 seats only. Installments available. Fill the enrolment form and we will confirm your seat on WhatsApp.
Geographic vs. projected coordinate systems, and choosing the right UTM zone.
How vegetation, water and soil trace distinct signature curves across bands.
Using QGIS plugins to extract road networks from satellite imagery.
Sentinel-1 backscatter, speckle filtering, and building a flood extent map.
Beyond training — MapCraft also takes on mapping and geospatial analysis work directly.
